Consuming Me

Flattered, I suppose I should be-

That I could blossom like an apple on a tree,

With juice that sweetens my consumer's tongue,

Long enough for my skin to shrivel.
My insides would be mushed and bruised,
But they would be there, and they would be full.

And maybe you could love my core-
For an apple without a core cannot bloom-
And I could be the apple of your eye
Even after my flesh is all consumed.

Bathing Suits That I Want! Summer's Not Over Yet...

It's the beginning of August, and my summer has another good 7 weeks left. To celebrate its remainder, let me fantasize about the swimwear I would buy with my imaginary funds...

First, a Jamaican-colors bathing suit to represent my love of reggae and all of its beachy connotations, a la this Roxy number:

1. www.shopnastygal.com has an amazing selection of mid-priced vintage and vintage-inspired clothing. The models always have cute outfits on, and the photography is rad, too.

2. www.modcloth.com has adorable and affordable vintage-inspired clothing.

3. www.whowhatwear.com is a website/email newsletter that has grown from spotting celebrity fashions to full-fledged styling and shopping assistance. My favorite is the pictures of stylish celebrities with links to buy every article they have on.
